Sage Parts appoints Kevin Jewell as Director, Sales Management

Farmingdale, New York, March 17, 2006 – Sage Parts, the world’s leading supplier of replacement parts for ground support equipment (GSE), has announced the appointment of Mr. Kevin Jewell to the position of Director, Sales Management. Mr. Jewell assumes responsibility for managing Sage sales reps throughout the United States.

“Kevin Jewell possesses a wealth of diverse industry experience and knowledge,” said Michael Bloomfield, Sage Executive Vice President. “His background, insights and energy will be important assets not only to Sage Parts and our sales team, but also to our customers.”

Prior to joining Sage Parts, Mr. Jewell was Vice President, Customer Service and Warranty Administration for TUG Technologies Corporation. While in that position, he played an integral role in the successful sale of TUG Manufacturing to Stewart & Stevenson Services, and, following the change of ownership, he spearheaded an increase in group revenue of 20% and an increase in profit of 35%. Over the past two years, Mr. Jewell also directed the opening of TUG GSE parts and support facilities onsite at 5 different airport locations. In addition to TUG Technologies, Mr. Jewell’s vast experience within the aviation industry includes: Sales Director for Trilectron Industries; Director of West Coast Region Sales and Service for TLD America; and Supervisor of Plant and Equipment Maintenance for United Airlines.

Sage Parts operates GSE parts warehousing and shipping facilities at its Farmingdale headquarters, at New York’s two largest airports (JFK and LGA), and at several other airports located in key markets throughout North America, including Los Angeles (LAX), Atlanta (ATL), Washington, D.C. (IAD), Chicago (ORD), Miami (MIA), Dallas (DFW), St. Louis (STL), Montreal (YUL), Toronto (YYZ), Vancouver (YVR), and Puerto Rico (SJU). The company also has a distribution warehouse in Castroville, California.

Sage Parts maintains a ready-to-ship inventory of GSE replacement parts consisting of more than five million parts, the most extensive in the world. The company utilizes an advanced computer database which catalogs all its GSE parts electronically, enabling parts to be shipped from the nearest Sage warehouse within moments of a customer’s request. Sage Parts also offers “eSage,” the company’s interactive e-commerce site. Using a standard web browser, customers can log onto eSage and search parts by number, view photos and descriptions of parts, place orders, check order status and many other functions. The eSage system is linked directly to Sage’s entire network of warehousing and distribution facilities, making customer order processing exceptionally convenient while also helping to speed delivery. Furthermore, through its GSE Services subsidiary, Sage Parts offers a comprehensive range of strategic solutions that can lower the total cost of GSE ownership – including life extension programs, equipment conversions, onsite repair and support, preventive maintenance and many other services.
